2012 Alberta Cup, April 26-29, Lethbridge, AB

The 2012 Alberta Cup was won by Team Northeast after they defeated Team South by a score of 5-3. Late in the third period, Team South scored to tie the game up at 3-3, but in the last 49 seconds of the game, Andrew Koep would score back-to-back goals to give Team Northeast the win.

Team Northeast tied its first two games of the tournament against Central and Edmonton North, finally winning their final round robin game against Calgary South. In the semi-final, they faced Calgary North, edging them 6-3 to earn a berth in the championship game. Team South lost their opener against Calgary North, and then finished off their round robin with a win against Northwest and a tie against Edmonton South. They then beat Central to earn their spot in the final.
