Future Coaches

Hockey Alberta’s Future Coaches Program is designed to develop and train U18 male and female hockey players in the areas of coaching, skill instruction and leadership.

Looking to expand your hockey knowledge? Then this is the program for you!
Through this 2 day course, athletes will be exposed to advanced coaching techniques, learn skill development to better their game, and gain leadership skills and confidence to join a team in a support coaching role next season!

The delegates will be trained and mentored on and off ice through sessions that include: leadership, team building and off-ice LTPD training. Along with classroom sessions, Future Coaches will work through Hockey Alberta professional development courses, which include teachings from effective practice planning, shooting and scoring, and small area games. During the Future Coaches program, all registrants will be provided with:

• Opportunities to work with and learn from Hockey Alberta’s top skill instructors
• Coaching Starter Kit
• Professional Development
• Lunch (on Saturday)
