2023 Hockey Alberta Hockey School - Calgary (Flames Community Arenas)

The Hockey Alberta Hockey School will take place at Flames Community Arenas in Calgary, Alberta from Monday, August 7th to Friday, August 11th, 2023. The camp will feature on-ice skill development, in addition to off-ice training and multi-sport activities. The camp will also feature classroom sessions which will cover topics such as teamwork, nutrition, leadership, goal setting, anti-bullying, amongst other important topics for minor hockey players to learn about.

This hockey school is an Alberta Built Skills Camp that focuses on individual skill development on and off the ice, following the principles of the Long Term Player Development (LTPD) model. The camp is open to both male and female athletes entering into U7, U9, U11, and U13 age groups of minor hockey in the Fall of 2023.

The camp will focus on individual skill development on and off the ice, through on-ice drills focused on skating, puck control, passing, and shooting.  Off-ice sessions will work on agility, balance, and coordination; and will also incorporate other dryland sports, to foster overall athleticism for the hockey player within the LTPD model.

For the U9, U11, and U13 age groups the camp includes:

> 4 consecutive weekdays of sports activities.
> 8 on-ice sessions (2 on-ice sessions daily).
> 16 off-ice sessions (4 off-ice sessions daily).
> 1 new Hockey Alberta branded practice jersey to wear and to keep.

Cost:  All of the above for only $499.

This program will allow parents / guardians to drop off U9, U11, and U13 participants at the arena at 9:00am in the morning, and pick them up at 4:45pm in the afternoon once each day concludes.


For the U7 age group the camp includes:

> 4 consecutive weekdays of sports activities.
> 4 on-ice sessions (1 on-ice session daily).
> 8 off-ice sessions (2 off-ice sessions daily).
> 1 new Hockey Alberta branded practice jersey to wear and to keep.

Cost: All of the above for only $299.

This program will allow parents / guardians to arrive to the arena with your U7 participant at 8:00am, and depart the arena after their last activity by 11:15am each day.

Refunds requested up to 1 week prior to program - $30 admin fee withheld
Refunds requested 1 week to 72 hours prior to program - $60 admin fee withheld
Refunds requested 72 hours prior to program - No Refund
