RED DEER - NHL Central Scouting has released its final rankings ahead of the 2019 NHL draft, with 20 Albertans on the list.
Six Albertans landed in the top 30 of the North American Skater rankings: Kirby Dach, Bowen Byram, Peyton Krebs, Brayden Tracey, Brett Leason and Matthew Robertson.
Byram moved up two spots to become the highest ranked Albertan, while Tracey’s outstanding rookie season in the WHL, which landed him the Eastern Conference Rookie of the Year nod, saw him jump up 52 spots in the rankings.
