Prince Albert Raiders selected the first Alberta player, 9th overall, in goaltender Ian Scott, who played for the Calgary Northstar Sabres this past season. Scott also played for the Calgary North team that just won the ATB Alberta Cup championship just last week.
Scott was also the first goalie selected in the Bantam Draft and the only goalie to be taken in the first round. In the 2013-14 season, the 6’2”, 156 pound goaltender put up a save percentage of 0.916 with a Goals Against Average of 3.12.
Scott was one of six Albertans taken in the first round.
