Power Edge Pro

Power Edge Pro Hockey (PEP) is Hockey Alberta’s official skill development partner.

Power Edge Pro is an on-ice player development system utilizing propriety equipment and training patterns. The system focuses on Reactive Countering Trainingâ„¢, engaging multiple motor skills simultaneously to develop a player’s performance. All patterns are completed while maintaining puck control and are designed to provide 5x as many repetitions as standard drill based practices, leading to faster development of elite skills.

The partnership entails extensive use of the PEP training system, known as Reactive Countering TrainingTM, from grassroots to elite level hockey programs across Alberta. Connor McDavid, John Tavares, Matt Duchene, Jason Spezza, Aaron Ekblad, Taylor Hall, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Brayden Schenn, Nathan MacKinnon, Morgan Rielly, and Sam Steel are all among the players who train with PEP.

Hockey Alberta minor hockey associations can benefit from this partnership, by working directly with Power Edge Pro to assist in the development of their players and teams. Through PEP’s Youth Association Partnership program, minor hockey associations are provided with the coach training, teaching tools, and resources to ensure coaches of any skill level or experience can successfully instruct the PEP system to their players.

Check out the full overview of the Power Edge Pro Hockey program. It includes videos of PEP in action; an amazing list of players who train with PEP and are enjoying successful careers; and the exclusive PEP pricing that is available only to Hockey Alberta MHAs. The pricing includes initial coach training and bi-weekly webinars for your MHA, resources (iPad app and HUDL software), and patented on-ice equipment to implement directly into practices for your teams. As well, Hockey Alberta’s trained personnel will be available to provide support and tips to ensure the most effective use of the PEP training system and resources.
