Coaches - Head, Assistant, Apprentice

Leduc Minor Hockey Association (LMHA) is very proud to host North Central Impact -Alberta Female Hockey League (AFHL) Female U15AA and Female U18AA hockey teams for Alberta’s North Central Region.

U15AA is the top level of female U15 hockey in Alberta.  The AFHL U15 AA consists of 12 zone teams, 6 in the North and 6 in the South.  An approximate 26 game season has limited inter-conference play.    AFHL’s U18AA program has an identical structure.  The AA division enables skill development and bridges the gap between grassroots and high performance.

2022/23 - Coaches - Head, Assistant, Apprentice

·         Honorarium

·         Transportation, hotels and meals paid for travel games

·         Reimbursement of required Coach clinics & supplemental clinics/seminars

·         Coach development & mentorship initiatives

·         On-ice support in the areas of offensive skill development, offensive skills tactics, defensive coaching

·         Contracted goaltending development

·         Dedicated, consistent practice schedule

·         Technology supports

·         Athlete Development Supports including, but not limited to:

Ø  Off-ice fitness expertise

Ø  Nutrition advice and education

Ø  Mental strength training

Applicants should be self-motivated, organized, dedicated, resourceful, and able to motivate athletes and staff.  Preferably knowledgeable in: coaching female athletes, skill development, offensive tactics, defensive strategies, system play, and bench management.

All Coaches are expected to have a minimum: NCCP Development 1, Checking Skills, and Respect in Sport.  Applicants without specified coaching requirement(s) must be willing to complete these in the coming season.
