2024 EDI Fundamentals for Leaders

Hockey Alberta is pleased to announce the details of the EDI Fundamentals for Leaders virtual course for executives and board members of our Minor Hockey Associations.

The training is funded through the Local Hockey Leaders EDI Grant program – supported by Hockey Alberta Foundation, Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation, NHL Legacy Project, and Rogers. The training is provided by Canadian Equality Consultants, a leading Canadian organization with experience in developing EDI training to meet the needs of sporting groups.

This course is Hockey Alberta’s first step in supporting our MHAs through EDI education and training for your leaders. The intent is that all Hockey Alberta MHAs participate in a training session.

The session is three hours and can accommodate approximately 30 people for maximum interaction between participants and the facilitator. Should you have more than 30 participants from your MHA, multiple sessions can be scheduled. Partnering with other MHAs is also encouraged if you have a smaller group of participants.
