Checking Skills Camp

The 2026 Summer Weekday Checking Skills Camp designed to help prepare athletes for the 2025-26 season. Hockey Alberta will be hosting a series of training sessions for male athletes at Kinsmen Arena in Edmonton, AB in July. On-ice sessions are led by Hockey Alberta Qualified Instructors.

These sessions introduce and reinforce proper checking skills for U13 and  U15 players. 

WHO: 2012-2013 and 2014-2015 born players.  Groups will be formed based on level of play in 2025/26 season

WHEN:July 14-16, 2026

• Times:  July 14 & 16, Ice times are 2:00pm, 3:15pm and July 15 1pm and 2:15pm depending on which group you are in.
  Each group receives 3 Ice times and a total of 3 hours of ice time

WHERE: Edmonton, AB, Kinsmen Arena

WHY: Introduce proper skills and techniques for safe and effective body-checking and contact confidence.

COST: $189

Refund Policy:

Refunds requested up to 1 week prior to program - $30 admin fee withheld
Refunds requested 1 week to 72 hours prior to program - $60 admin fee withheld
Refunds requested 72 hours prior to program - No Refund
