2014 Alberta Winter Games

The 2014 Alberta Winter Games were held February 6-9 in Canmore, AB.

Zone 5 - Yellowhead won the Gold Medal, shutting out Zone 3 - Calgary by a score of 6-0.

The Zone 5 Flyers opened round robin action with a win over Zone 7 - Northeastern, then tied Zone 3, and wrapped up their round robin action with a win over Zone 1 - Sunny South. In the semi-finals Zone 5 defeated Zone 6 - Edmonton to earn a spot in the final.

In the Bronze Medal Game, Zone 2 - Big Country defeated Zone 6 - Edmonton by a score of 6-5.

The teams were determined through zone selection camps in early December. Athletes born in 2001 were eligible to try out for the opportunity to be one of 20 athletes to represent their zone.
