Sledge Hockey… From Any View it’s Hockey
Sledge Hockey is the Paralympic version of ice hockey and has become one of the biggest attractions for spectators at the Winter Paralympic Games since its debut in Lillehammer, Norway, in 1994. It is fast-paced, highly physical and played by many clubs throughout North America.
In the spring of 2004, Hockey Alberta joined with current Sledge Hockey providers, athletes and interested person to assist with the programming of Sledge Hockey in Alberta. Hockey Alberta has several member groups providing Sledge Hockey through out the province, with numbers growing every year.
