Game summary from the 2015 Canada Winter Games

The 2015 Canada Winter Games in Prince George, BC proved to be very successful as both of Alberta’s hockey teams earned a trip to the medal podium.

The Team Alberta Under-16 Male squad earned the silver medal, going unbeaten until the gold medal match, where they suffered a 3-1 loss to Team Ontario. It was Alberta’s fourth silver medal, winning previously in 1971, 1991, and 1995. Alberta advanced to the finals with a 3-1 semi-final win over Manitoba, and round-robin victories over Quebec, Nova Scotia and Saskatchewan.
