2020 Hockey Alberta Prep Camp - Grande Prairie

PHYSICAL DISTANCING

As per Hockey Alberta’s Return to Hockey Plan, participants in Off-Season Skill Development programs must reside within a specified distance of the host community.

This camp will be organized using Physical Distancing, which requires that participants reside within 200 km of the host community.

- If you reside within a 200 km radius of the host community, you ARE eligible to participate in this camp. Please proceed with the registration form. 

- If you reside more than 200 km from the host community, you ARE NOT eligible to participate in a Physical Distancing camp. Thank you for your interest.

For Physical Distancing Camps - Camp is being organized via Physical Distancing with well-spaced circuits, lane setups or station-based programming.

***Players will be asked to complete a mandatory daily check before they will be allowed to participate. Any participant who answers YES to any of the questions may no longer participate in the camp/ program until a minimum 14-day quarantine period has elapsed. Pro-rated registration fees will be refunded.

***The Hockey Alberta Refund Policy applies for registrations submitted after June 30, 2020.


Hockey Alberta’s Pre-Season Prep Camp is an Alberta Built Skills program that will prepare athletes for the 2020-21 season focusing on individual skill development skating, shooting, passing and puck control drills, through the assistance of the Power Edge Pro Program.

All ice sessions will be conducted by a Hockey Alberta Instructor along with a High Performance 1 coach present for all on ice sessions.

At this Alberta Built Skills camp, your child receives:

  • 5 on-ice skill sessions (one per day)
  • Hockey Alberta Jersey to keep

WHO: U11, U13, U15, U18 male groups and U15/U18 combined female groups

WHEN: August 10-14, 2020

WHERE: Grande Prairie, Coca-Cola Centre

COST: $199

NOTE: Meals / snacks are not provided to participants. Players are asked to bring their own meals / snacks.

A schedule and further detail regarding the camp will be email to participants and their parents prior to the start of camp.

Group Ice times are the same daily and as follows:

U11 Group - 9:00am - 10:00am (Mon-Fri)

U13 Group - 10:15am - 11:15am (Mon-Fri)

U15 Group - 11:30am - 12:30pm (Mon-Fri)

U15/U18 Female - 12:45pm - 1:45pm (Mon-Fri)

U18 Group - 2:00pm - 3:00pm (Mon-Fri)

Details regarding arrival/departure to arena will be emailed to participants prior to camp.
