Instructional Stream: Small Area Games

The Instructional Stream - Small Area Games Clinic will provide coaches with an understanding of what small area games are, outline the developmental benefits of incorporating them into practice and introduce coaches to a variety of different games that they can take back to their teams.  This clinic is provided free of charge.


The Instructional Stream - Small Area Games clinic is a 3-hour course that includes both in-class and on-ice components. Please bring with you your skates, stick, CSA approved helmet, gloves and pen/paper. You may also wish to bring your phone/tablet to record portions of the on-ice session.

Hockey Canada has developed the Instructional Stream Coach Clinic Program to act as a supplementary coach education program designed to provide coaches with practical resources to support them throughout the year. This program is an optional educational service to coach in Alberta administered and delivered by Hockey Alberta trained instructors.

Instructional Stream - Small Area Games clinic taking place Lac La Biche, AB on Tuesday November 14, 2017. The Classroom(6pm-7:30pm In the View Point Room and On-Ice (7:45pm-9:15pm Swamp Cats Arena) will all be at the Bold Centre Starting.
