Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey School


Hockey Alberta, in partnership with the Lethbridge Hurricanes and Lethbridge Minor Hockey, is running an incredible Alberta Built Skills program for young athletes to learn from Hurricanes players and staff.

The school emphasizes skating, puck handling, passing and shooting using small area play, tactical and technical teaching from some of the best instructors in Alberta, and instills the values of the Long Term Player Development (LTPD) model.

At this Alberta Built Skills camp, your child receives:

  • 2 hours on-ice per day
  • 2 hours off-ice per day, including multi-sport and hockey specific training
  • Lunch served daily
  • Morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up

WHO: Novice, Atom, Peewee players

  • Matt Anholt: Skills and Development Coach for the Lethbridge Hurricanes; former captain at the University of Alaska-Anchorage (NCAA Division I); Hockey Alberta camp/ clinic Facilitator and Instructor. 

Additional Instructors:

  • Nancy Sherman: Skating development leader for the School; Skate Canada certified skating instructor.
  • Jeff Hansen: Assistant Coach for the Hurricanes; also has been an Assistant Coach for Hockey Canada’s U17 Program; playing career included stops in the ECHL and CHL.
  • Matt Weninger: Regional Manager for Hockey Alberta; Goalie Coach for the Moose Jaw Warriors (WHL); NCAA Division I Scholarship to St. Lawrence University.
