2020 Hockey Alberta Small Area Games Camp - Red Deer

Hockey Alberta’s Small Area Games Camp is an Alberta Built Skills program where your child develops his/her individual skills and tactics in a fun and competitive environment.

Small Area Games are used to develop offensive and defensive strategies along with increased puck touches and situational repetitions. These games improve a player’s ability to read, react and adapt to a given situation; improve their ability to handle a puck under extreme pressure and confinement; and improve their skating ability and edge work!

At this camp your child receives:

  • 8 one-hour, on-ice sessions (2 per week)
  • Training through a series of skill development stations
  • Instructors will include Hockey Alberta trained staff, current Coaches from the AJHL, AFHL, AMMHL and Players from the ACAC and AMHL.
