TEAM STAFFS NAMED FOR 2022 ALBERTA CUP, CHALLENGE, AND PROSPECTS CUP

The 118 volunteers who will lead teams at the 2022 Alberta Cup, Alberta Challenge and Prospects Cup have been selected by Hockey Alberta.

HOCKEY ALBERTA NAMES 2022 PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIP HOSTS

A total of 32 provincial champions will be crowned during March and April. Host locations for the 29 weekend championship tournaments were announced December 17. The final three provincial champions will be determined through league playoffs.

TEAM CANADA’S WORLD JUNIOR 50/50 IS BACK!

Hockey Canada has announced that online 50/50 is returning for the 2022 World Juniors in Edmonton and Red Deer. Last year’s jackpot reached a total of nearly $40 million, with draws running from December 23 to January 5 on each Canada game day and all medal round days.

THREE NEW DIRECTORS ELECTED TO HOCKEY ALBERTA BOARD

Three new members were elected to Hockey Alberta’s Board of Directors during the 114th Annual General Meeting held virtually on November 25. The new members are Kirstan Jewell of Rimbey, Karen Lee of Calgary and Bill Gourley of Calgary, who will each serve three-year terms
