Glencross Roughstock Rodeo and Poker Event

The 2019 Glencross Invitational Charity Roughstock Rodeo, which ran August 23, marked the eighth anniversary for the successful fundraising event for two worthy central Alberta charitable organizations. The rodeo is now a C.P.R.A. sanctioned event and features elite bull, bronc, bareback riders and stock.

In its first seven years, more than $1.6 million was raised to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Central Alberta, and the Hockey Alberta Foundation’s Every Kid Every Community Program.

The annual Glencross Invitational Charity Roughstock event started in 2012 as a family affair with Curtis Glencross, a retired NHLer and former member of the Calgary Flames, using his passion for rodeo, family and hockey to serve his community and Albertan roots.

The event is held each year in August, and sponsorship opportunities are always available for individuals and businesses looking to support kids in Alberta.
