Coach Of The Month - September

Chris Levesque, of the Fort McMurray Atom Oil Barons, is the inaugural recipient of the Hockey Alberta Coach of the Month award.

In his nomination, Chris was recognized for the respect that he shows his players, as he encourages them to better people on and off the ice. Chris is described as an outstanding leader and role model, who is well-prepared, positive and energetic, and who provides confidence in the development model he has outlined, and who communicates very clearly with the parents and players about his plans for the team.

“Chris goes above and beyond what anyone could or should ever expect from a volunteer coach. I am proud to say that he coaches my son and I am thankful for the values and work ethic that he encourages every day," said a team parent.
