Delegates will be heading to the city of Harbin in the Heilongjiang province located in northeast China where
they will be working with China’s provincial and national hockey associations. Alberta representatives will
be working with both Chinese coaches and players in on and off-ice environments. The purpose of the exchange
is to improve and expand the quality of coaching for both countries through exposure to different training
methods and sport development systems.
“We’re excited to share our experience and knowledge of hockey with China, but we are just as excited to
learn and expand our understanding of what other countries are doing in terms of hockey and sport
development,” said Hockey Alberta General Manager, Rob Litwinski.
