2012 ALBERTA WINTER GAMES MALE HOCKEY CLUB TEAMS
Established in 1974, the Alberta Winter Games is a multi-sport event which provides development opportunities for amateur athletes; helping them advance their skills in a competitive and friendly environment. The Alberta Winter Games will host over 2,800 athletes, coaches and referees participating in 24 different events including ringette, curling, speed skating and many more.

Eight teams qualify through their respective zone playdowns for the chance to compete at this provincial competition.
2012 Alberta Winter Games Participating Teams:
- Zone 2: Kneehill Chiefs
- Zone 3: Calgary Trails West Wolves
- Zone 4: Lacombe Scotiabank Rockets
- Zone 5: Drayton Valley Pile Base Rangers
- Zone 6: Edmonton SWAT 672 APEX
- Zone 7: St. Paul Canadiens
- Zone 8A: High Prairie Buchanan Lumber Blades
- Zone 8B: Sexsmith*
*No Zone 1 team registered for playdown process, so a wildcard was drawn.
"The Alberta Winter Games is an exciting opportunity for these teams and players to play in a high level provincial competition," said Provincial Sport Coordinator - Male Hockey, Kyle Baltimore. "It's something that they'll remember for some time to come."
The Alberta Winter Games runs every second year and is open to all provincial eligible Peewee A, B, C, and D teams throughout Alberta.
